Vision Zero attendees for World Day of Remembrance

Vision Zero honors victims of traffic fatalities

Vision Zero attendees for World Day of RemembranceNovember 2020 – It was an emotional day for the attendees who came out to recognize the annual World Day of Remembrance of Road Traffic Victims. Vision Zero Hillsborough, partner agencies, and members of the community observed the 200+ families and victims that have been killed in traffic crashes this year. The event took place on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Ben T. Davis Beach. Gena Torres, Executive Planner, passed the microphone amongst the crowd for attendees to read the names of the victims aloud. Participants put on masks and bib cards displaying the victims’ names as they set out in reflection to walk or bike on the Courtney Campbell Trail in honor of those lives lost. The agency appreciates everyone who came out to support the event. So much work needs to be done to reach ZERO! Fox News 13 stopped by and interviewed Beth Alden, MPO Executive Director.
