It’s Thanksgiving time, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you who participated in Imagine 2040, making this the most successful public involvement response we’ve ever had!

These are phenomenal numbers – 3,500+ participants generated 91,500+ data points collected through prioritizing, ranking, rating, choosing, suggesting and commenting on your ideas and preferences – at iPad stations, at kiosks, at community meetings, and on the web! We are currently analyzing your input to help us design a hybrid vision for Hillsborough’s future that reflects what we’ve heard from you! In coming weeks, we’ll be posting more detailed summaries and reports online, breaking down the input we received by geographic areas around our region, and ultimately, a draft hybrid vision for the future. This vision will guide the Plan 2040 Transportation Plan and Comprehensive Plans for Tampa, Temple Terrace, Plant City and Hillsborough County.
Please join us for our next Imagine 2040 Working Group meeting on Thursday, December 12. Review and comment on preliminary Imagine 2040 results and the preliminary hybrid vision in an Open House format from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on the 26th Floor of County Center, at 601 E Kennedy Boulevard in Downtown Tampa. A brief presentation will be made at 6:00 p.m.
