August 2021 – Special speed zones on roads near schools help protect kids going there – but what about roads near parks? The Park Speed Zone Pilot Study looks at that question, using several parks in different suburban and urban areas to tease out how this might work. Our pilot study zooms in on the roads around Copeland Park, the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, and Sulphur Springs Park, to come up with recommendations that can be used on major and minor roads around the county.
