January 2021 – At the January MPO Board Meeting, the MPO Board enthusiastically approved new funding for pedestrian safety on Fowler Ave at five intersections. The quick action by the MPO Board means that the project can get started in this fiscal year, with a construction contract to be awarded by FDOT before the end of June!

This is the first step in a larger project to improve the streetscape and create more and safer options for walking, cycling, and rapid transit on Fowler Avenue. The full presentation is included in the MPO Board’s agenda packet.
