January 2023 – On November 15 and 19, 2022, the Planning Commission held two hybrid Community Open Houses to kick-off the Greater Palm River Community Plan Update. The meetings were held at Emanuel P. Johnson Recreation Center and Winston Park Boys & Girls Club, with the option to participate virtually as well. Commissioner Myers participated in the meeting on November 15.
We received helpful feedback from attendees and the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) activity. An online survey was created for those who were unable to attend the meetings and would like to weigh in on the update. The survey will be open through February 2023.
Planning Commission staff will be in the community from 9 am to 4 pm on January 25 at the Greater Palm River Point CDC located at 7454 Palm River Rd, Tampa, FL 33619 for open office hours. We welcome members of the community to come and chat one-on-one with staff about any questions they may have about the community plan update process or how to get involved.
