The Executive Director of the Planning Commission is Melissa Zornitta, FAICP. Ms. Zornitta has served in this role since January 2015, but has been employed with the Planning Commission in progressively responsible positions since 2001.
The Executive Director leads the agency staff in the development, update and administration of the Comprehensive Plans for Tampa, Temple Terrace, Plant City and Unincorporated Hillsborough County. The Executive Director and Executive Team are responsible for fulfilling the agency’s the work program, managing the agency’s staff and maintaining the budget.
