October 2022 – Staff from the Planning Commission and Community and Infrastructure Planning are hosting two community open houses to provide information about the Greater Palm River Area Community Plan Update and to obtain feedback from the community. Established in 2008, the plan provides specialized and localized policy guidance for the communities of Palm River, Progress Village, Clair Mel, and others. The community plan is a part of the Comprehensive Plan for unincorporated Hillsborough County, and the update is expected to be completed in 2024.
Community input is essential to accurately reflect the desires of those who live in the Greater Palm River Area. Two hybrid community open houses have been scheduled for the public to engage with the planning team, ask questions, and provide input:
