Vishaka Shiva Raman started her planning career when she joined the MPO as a USF Fellow while doing her master’s program from 2015 to 2016. After completing her internship, she joined FDOT where she was a Complete Streets Transportation Planner and later came back to the MPO as a Community Planner in 2018. Her involvement with the transportation team at the MPO coincided with the 2045 LRTP Outreach Phase 1, where she coordinated and participated at various outreach events. She is involved with the technical team and is in charge of TIP and TIP amendments. She is also interested in multimodal transportation analysis, travel demand forecasting and modeling, AV/CV technology, Smart Cities and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Vishaka is passionate about her work and strongly feels that with the right type of planning and community involvement, we can make the Tampa Bay area more livable. She loves dancing and enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family. She spends time serving at community events and in her free time you can find her at one of the theme parks or local beaches.
