June 2019 –
Three Plan Hillsborough staff were recognized at the 2019 American Planning Association’s Florida Sun Coast Section Annual CM Event and Awards Reception. Jay Collins, AICP, volunteered for the pre-awards Law CM event titled, “You Can’t Handle the Truth! Deposition Prep for Urban Planners.” Jay participated in a voluntary deposition with guest speakers, including John Anthony, Esq. (Anthony & Partners), Stephenie Biernacki Anthony, Esq. (Anthony & Partners), and Mark S. Bentley, Esq., B.C.S., AICP (Johnson Pope Bokor Ruppel & Burns). This event was 1.5 AICP CM.

- Gena Torres | recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for her many years of service in the planning profession
- Melissa Dickens, AICP | recipient of a plaque for her extraordinary service and leadership as APA Sun Coast Chair from 2017-2019
