September 2022 – The Hillsborough Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) unanimously approved a “roll forward” amendment to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for fiscal years 2022/23 – 2026/27 at its Board Meeting on September 12, allowing funding to move from the current fiscal year into the upcoming fiscal year for three delayed projects: Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Westshore Interchange Major Reconstruction right-of-way acquisition phase, City of Tampa’s Floribraska Ave Complete Streets project, and HART’s New Maintenance Facility.
Roll forward amendments are not unusual and may occur when a project encounters delays. Approval of these types of amendments assures funding for delayed projects remain in the TIP of an upcoming fiscal year. The three projects are funded in the TIP for fiscal year 2021/2022, and FDOT and HART anticipate these projects will launch no later than June 30, 2023.
